Melda MTurboCompLE

$105.00

Unique Tool

Important Note: This is the Lite version. The full version of MTurboComp is also available.

MTurboComp is the ultimate (not-only) compressor, which emulates most of the classic vintage analogue compressors. Unbelievable sound, uniquely fast workflow, tons of additional features.

The Limitations of MTurboCompLE

MTurboCompLE doesn’t let you access the multiband version nor the Edit screen, so you cannot design your own compressors or modify the existing ones. But it still contains over a dozen classic analogue compressors for a price anyone can afford.

Compression Reinvented for Easier and Faster Workflow

MTurboComp obviously speeds up the workflow tremendously by providing access to so many classic compressors in a single click. But it doesn’t stop there. Compressors are one of the most overused tools of any audio engineer, yet they are still based on designs and controls decades old, making them so hard to use. How about controlling the amount of compression? Such a basic task, yet almost impossible without changing output level making any decisions almost impossible.

So Melda took the liberty to set a new standard. All of the compressors MTurboComp emulates have almost the same GUI, so that you always know what to do. They do have the controls the originals did, but they have far more than that: Compression to control the amount of compression with minimum changes to output level, Saturation to get additional character, Dry/wet control for parallel compression, and finally, side-chain input, detector high-pass, low-pass and a peak filters so that you can easily tune the compressor to your audio material. The classic Melda goodies such as automatic gain compensation, safety limiter, mid/side processing and A-H snapshots are included of course.

Emulations Designed by Machine Learning

Developers usually simulate the vintage compressors by analyzing the circuits and test signals. That way it takes a long time to emulate a single compressor and it is prone to all kinds of errors. Melda took a very different approach – they designed a dynamics processor so versatile, that it could simulate almost anything. And Melda definitely didn’t dare to set it up manually afterwards – they let the computers do that for us!

It took the computers a long time and didn’t spare us days of listening tests and manual work, but it still got us to a great emulation of more than a dozen classic compressors in a record time. They don’t sound exactly the same, after all not even the originals don’t sound exactly the same to one another. But maybe MTurboComp sounds better than the originals. Just try and listen for yourself.

Features

Advanced GUI

  • User interfaces need to be fast, simple to use and be easy on the eye. Everyone’s needs can be different, so flexibility is important. Melda solves this with the most advanced GUI engine on the market.
  • Stylable: From vintage hardware to super futuristic. You can choose the colours and style of the GUI, making Melda plugins personal to you.
  • Resizable: All Melda plugins are freely resizable. Many also feature popup windows. So no matter how many screens you have or what size they are, you will be able to arrange your plugins to keep a focus on what is important.
  • GPU Accelerated: All the elements in the GUI are accelerated by your GPU. This makes the graphics lightning-fast and frees up extra power for your CPU to focus on the audio.
  • Stunning Quality: Melda plugins support HDPI and Retina displays, so you will experience beautiful crisp resolutions. With adjustable frames per second up to 100, you will not miss a thing in Melda’s detailed analyzers.

Unique Visualisation Engine with Classic Meters and Time Graphs

  • Your ears should always be the main tool, but they are not the only way to judge your audio. Visual aids can be incredibly useful for a variety of reasons. Melda’s comprehensive metering system is extremely flexible and delivers you accurate information when you need it. From classic meters to time-based graphs, you will see important visual feedback including; Input, Output, Stereo width, Loudness, Waveforms, Bands, Gain reduction and Sidechain, and some plugin dependent meters.

Unique Generalized Dynamic Detector

  • The dynamic detector using in MTurboCompLE has no match on the market. It features manual and 5 automatic release modes with adjustable limits and speed, true RMS and true peak hold features, look-ahead and more.
  • It also provides completely unique features, such as adjustable attack & release shapes, providing unique analog gear simulation capabilities, spectral smoothing to minimize distortion levels below imaginable level, psychoacoustic prefiltering, which lets you compress the signal based on human hearing simulation instead of scientific levels. There is no audio material in the world the plugin cannot adjust to.

Parallel Compression Using Dry/wet Control

  • Parallel compression has never been easier. And not just compression for that matter. Engineers used to simulate this concept using complicated routing. With MTurboCompLE you can just use the dry/wet control. It is really that simple.

Unique Temporary Gain Feature

  • Temporary gain provides an excellent way to control the amount of compression while keeping the output level stable. Based on tricks well known by top producers MTurboCompLE makes the workflow quicker than ever before.

M/S, single-channel, up to 8 channels surround and up to 64 channels ambisonics processing…

  • MTurboCompLE can handle not only mono and stereo signals, but also mid/side encoding for stereo field processing, separate left & right channels, separate mid or side signal, up to 8 channels of surround audio and even up to the mighty 7th order ambisonics having staggering 64 channels. It is perfect for audio production for music, movies, games, VR…

Automatic Gain Compensation (AGC)

  • Most plugins change loudness of the output audio, which makes browsing presets inconvenient, not mentioning randomization. MTurboCompLE includes automatic gain compensation, which quickly adapts to current settings and ensures the output sounds as loud as the input. This even protects you from thinking that something sounds better in cases it is just louder.

Safety Limiter

  • Some plugins can intensely increase gain when exposed to specific audio materials. MTurboCompLE provides a safety brickwall limiter, which ensures the output stays below 0dB and prevents your equipment and your ears from potential danger automatically.

Adjustable Up-sampling 1x-1024x

  • Digital audio provides very superior audio quality compared to ancient analog gear, but there are problems too. The main problem is the aliasing, which may be noticeable, when using nonlinear processes such as compression or saturation. MTurboCompLE includes both minimum-phase and high-quality linear-phase upsampling algorithms, which avoids the aliasing.

MIDI Controllers with MIDI Learn

  • MTurboCompLE contains a powerful MIDI processor, which listen to MIDI controllers and MIDI keyboard and control any parameters realtime.

64-bit Processing and an Unlimited Sampling Rate

  • MTurboCompLE provides the maximum audio quality you can get. It uses 64-bit audio processing and can handle any sampling rate. It does not make much sense to go over 192kHz, but if you think it is a good idea, the plugin can do that.

Extremely fast, optimized for newest AVX2 and AVX512 capable processors…

  • Computers are now extremely fast, but the algorithms are more complex and projects are bigger, so Melda stills need to use the processing power with care. MTurboCompLE uses the fastest algorithms, takes advantage of the newest processor capabilities, lets your GPU handle the graphics, and shares the resources with other MeldaProduction plugins. The plugin is among the fastest on the market, yet it provides the best possible audio quality.

Global Preset Management and Online Preset Exchange

  • MTurboCompLE presets are carefully stored in a system database and you can quickly access them from any project in any host. The plugin can automatically share your presets and download presets of other users from the Melda servers. Melda are building a community and you can be a part of it!

Compare Multiple Settings

  • A/B comparison is a widely used method to objectively hear the changes you are making to your audio and help you to make better decisions, non destructively.
  • A to H Switching: Melda has taken this to the next level. Have up to 8 instances of the plugin, copy/paste the A to H slots and freely switch between them.
  • A to D Morphing: You can also morph between the first 4 slots with an X-Y pad. Not sure which preset to choose? You could load 4 and find the perfect blend of all of them. Not sure if A or B sounds better? You might prefer an interpolated state somewhere between the two.

Supports VST, VST3, AU and AAX interfaces on Windows (both 32-bit and 64-bit) & Mac (64-bit only)

  • MTurboCompLE supports all major hosts on both platforms.

No Dongle / Internet Access Required for Activation
