The TAL DAC Bit Crusher is a unique effect plugin designed around the TAL-Sampler sound engine, providing a new and innovative way to bit-crush your sounds. Unlike conventional bit crushers, the DAC emulates a sample recorded as a low sample rate with a reduced bit depth, then upsamples it to your desire sample rate. In comparison to other digital bit crusher plugins, the TAL DAC gives more of an analog sound.

Perfect for creating lo-fi sounds, crafting audio for chiptune and a range of other applications, the TAL DAC crushes like no other. It can even be used to emulate classic gear by matching the sample rate and bit depth – ideal for capturing the sound of forgotten hardware. A range of presets are included with a range of custom algorithms including mu-law, linear, mu-law delta and more.You can also shape your sound further using the built-in high/low shelf EQ as well as the AMP drive control to recreate various sampler’s amp sections.
